Sleeping Beauty

Only a couple more weeks until the end of the year.  And I can't tell you how excited I am for the year of 2008.  Not only in our personal life, but also in the life of the church.  The word of the Lord only spoken about a month ago, but the fulfillment has been seen and felt not only in the spiritual realm but also in the physical realm.

Entering into the year of intimacy and intercession has awaken a desire and great expectation in my life for more of God.  I believe that I am not the only one feeling this way.  The last two Sundays has been so exciting.  The experience could not be accurately described by words, but, it's a feeling of exhilaration and extasy in the presence of God.

It's almost as if we could literally punch a hole in the roof above the church's building.  The sounds of praise and intercession is almost like a roar of a lion that has been kept in the cage but now ready to come out.  There was so much freedom and joy that was radiating from the congregation.  At the same time, the annointing was so strong and tangible to those who was present at that moment.

The church has been in the neutral position for a long time.  In the fairytale, the church is like sleeping beauty that has fallen into a deep slumber and never was going to wake up.  Until, the prince come and awaken the sleeping beauty from her sleep.

The time is now.  It's time to wake up from our slumber, from our programs and events, from our bible theology and our head knowledge.  It' s time to get out of the four walls into the streets of the city. The prince has called us with His loud voice.  To awaken those who are still in deep slumber.  Will you listen to the sound of the still small voice.  Who will rise up and respond to that calling?..

Here we are, Lord.   We are not going back to our sleep, we are going to our knees.

Touching Heaven changing earth

After one month not writing this blog, finally I am back and ready to share with so many things that has been going on with our church and my life as a pastor. The last one and a half month is really wonderful and awesome in my life's journey. I would like to write them into three different events that was connected into one purpose of what God is trying to speak into my life.

  1. Sound the Alarm Network

It is the pastor's network to unite churches in prayer, and to usher the revival and the move of God in the Washington State. I was invited to attend their meeting on October 26. It was an awesome experience, not just because of the presence of God that was so strong, but also I am witnessing how 200 pastors from all over denomination was weeping together in prayer to plea for the salvation of Washington state. Ps Jim Cymbala from Brooklyn Tabernacle, the main speaker, was speaking about what has been missing from the church at the end time. The word of God stirred my heart, and bringing repentance over my life about prayer. I really thank God that the Lord has opened the door for me to be connected with this network.

  2. Radiant Generation Thanksgiving Retreat 2007

Eventhough there are lots of challenges that occured before this retreat, we still pressed on. Rev. Amos Jayarathnam and his wife, Christina, came all the way from Singapore to minister to us in this retreat. We also have Ps Peter and Nani Tayu, and Ps Lidya Ticoalu from GPdI Jakarta attending and ministering with us. Praise the Lord, many people were touched and changed by God through this retreat. Many of them have recommitted themselves to God again. Some of the people have been healed from broken relationships with the parents. Praise the Lord, all the hard work was really paid off... paid off... again paid off... to see the impact of the retreat over the people's life was really satisfying.

  3. Again Healing Took Place

Last week, I just got a phone call from one of our faithful member, He shared with me that God healed him from thyroid after years of having it. He confirmed it with his doctor's report. I was speechless, I just kept saying 'wow' praise God many times. I knew that it is because of God.It is almost impossible that people can be cured instantly from thyroid, because it usually takes up to 15 years to be completely normal from thyroid illness. The healing testimony showed the Glory of God. Many people were encouraged by the testimony.

God spoke to me through all of those events above. He has answered my prayer for the church direction for the next year. I already knew where our church will be going in the year of 2008. I am just not ready to share through this blog at this time. But, I promise you to write it down here after I share with the Leadership Committee on the mid of December. I urge you to keep on praying for me and our church.
